Quickdraw Animation Society, Twinbat Sticker Company and CJSW’s The Nocturntable present the 1981 cult classic animated movie, Heavy Metal at 7pm on October 22nd at The Globe Theatre.
A science fiction epic like no other — this anthology of bizarre and fantastic tales features the voice talent of John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy and Harold Ramis — brought to life with dynamic (and erotic) animation.
Boasting a superstar soundtrack — provided by the likes of Blue Oyster Cult, Cheap Trick and Devo — Heavy Metal remains an important slice of popular culture today.
Our fully-licensed screening will be preceded by a special animated short curated by Quickdraw Animation Society.
Be sure to check out Heavy Metal (rated 13+) at 7pm on Monday, October 22nd at the Globe Theatre, located at 617 8 Ave SW.
Admission is only $10 and all proceeds go to the support of the 2018 CJSW Funding Drive.
