CREATIVE CAPTIONING Lyndon Navalta and Ebony Gooden

*SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THIS EVENT*

As a visual medium, animation can be broadly accessible for a wide variety of audiences, including those who are Deaf, hard of hearing or have other sensory issues. But, often captioning a film is one of the last steps in production. What would happen if your captions were more than just boxes at the bottom of the screen, and became a living, active part of the audience experience?

Join presenters Ebony R. Gooden and Lyndon Navalta for a workshop on the art and craft of captioning for animated film. Using After Effects, participants will explore what creative captioning is, why it's important, and how it can elevate your films by creating a more immersive, engaging experience for all audiences.
