Arts Opportunities: March 14, 2022
The return of CUFF's 48-hour filmmaking challenge, opportunities for queer and Indigenous creators, and a job posting from our neighbours at EMMEDIA round out this week's offerings
• After a few years' hiatus, the Calgary Underground Film Festival is bringing back its 48-Hour Moviemaking Challenge in collaboration with NUTV, and they're hoping some local animators will take part
• Submissions for Montreal's long-running Image+Nation "lgbtqueer" film festival are open until March 21; queer filmmakers in the QAS community should use the code "IN35" for a fee waiver
• April 8 is the application deadline for CBC New Indigenous Voices, a program for emerging Indigenous creators aged 18-35 interested in working in film, TV, and digital media
• The AMAAS Bursary Program offers six one-time bursaries supporting training, travel, and artistic development for Alberta media artists, and their next deadline is April 1 (pending funding)
• There's one week left to apply for the role of Operations Manager at EMMEDIA
• The Cloud Factory, a Newfoundland-based artist-run centre, is looking for digital video works for the first edition its digital arts festival, Snow Screening
