On Saturday, September 12 2026 join us at HIGH PARK (340 10 Ave SW) as we present seven animated shorts from Soviet-era Estonia. The films combine influences from Estonian folklore, modern art, surrealism, and psychedelia, using both stop motion and cel animation techniques. Curated by Megan Switzer, presented with Eternal Family and the Estonian Film Institute.
Also be there for the launch of this year's GIRAF 22 signal film from local artist and animator Jiwoo Kim, featuring the certain sternutation familiar to those of us with sensitive nasus.
Located on the top floor of a parkade, bring a blanket or a low chair to get comfortable on as well as a jacket for the evening outdoors. Elevator access available, bathrooms located on the ground floor.
Schedule:
7:50 PM : Introductions + GIRAF 22 Signal Film unveil
8:20 PM - 9:20 PM : Stop Motion films curated by Eternal Family
