Our 17th GIRAF animation festival is just around the corner, but that's no reason to ignore the sad fact that folks outside of Alberta missed out on the joy of our online festival last year. Fortunately, the Regina Public Library is stepping in to fix that, at least for folks who can make it to the RPL Film Theatre on November 13.
It would be next to impossible for us to pick our own favourites from the fest—it was hard enough narrowing it down to the 80+ films that ended up in the festival, let alone the handful in this pack. Fortunately, last year's awards jury did a lot of that work for us, so this Best Of screening features the jury and audience award winners and runners-up. It's a stunning assortment of films, if we do say so ourselves.
