Join us on Sept 6th for a FREE outdoor Stop Motion animation showcase including a live score to the 102-year-old film THE CAMERAMAN'S REVENGE.
The live performance is curated by the avant garde experimental sound collective, Calgary's own BUG INCISION collective.
All happening at the stunning Historical No. 1 Firehall! This is a Free event but we always recommend RSVPing so we know what to expect!
The Cameraman’s Revenge is a perfect example of young Starewitch’s unsentimental, unmoralistic style. The story is perfectly suited for animal characters. As in Aesop and Phaedrus’ fables, it is universal because its protagonists are animals – i.e. symbols. Mr. and Mrs. Beetle are a typical middle-class couple bored by family life.
