EXHIBITION CALL: Animating Imagination: A Stop Motion Puppetry Showcase

CAOS would like to show you off! As part of the Festival of Animated Objects and in the spirit of fully fleshing out the journey of a moving object, CAOS will be producing a feature exhibition showing the process behind stop-motion puppet animation.

We are looking for 6 stop-motion puppet animation artists interested in participating in an exhibition at cSPACE Marda Loop.

Artists are asked to provide a scene from a stop-motion puppet animation project. This small sample should fit in a 12”x 12”x 12” space, which will be displayed in a protective acrylic cube. The scenes will be exhibited in the first-floor hallway gallery for the first two weeks of March 2024 during the Festival of Animated Objects. Additional supporting materials that could help explain your process to the viewers, such as sketches, storyboards, props, soundscapes, among others, are also welcomed to be submitted. In addition, participating artists may also provide a short clip of their in-production or completed work for streaming in a compilation in the gallery.

Each artist will be given an honorarium for their participation in "Animating Imagination: A Stop Motion Puppetry Showcase"
