Due to funding restrictions: you must be under 30 year of age to qualify for this Canada Summer Jobs funded position.

The activities will take place over the summer and finish by September 3, 2022. Deadline to apply is Monday, July 4, 2022 at 11:59PM MST.

The animator / poster artist will create an illustrated promo poster and a short (20 second to one minute) animated “signal film”, along with artwork and other illustrated assets to serve as the visual identity for this year’s festival. This will involve the generation of an original idea for the signal film, preparation of initial sketches, storyboarding, the creation of an animatic (a rough version of the finished animation to determine overall timing), and the delivery of a finished short animation.

We realize this is a lot to do in an eight-week contract, and we’re here to support you along the way with equipment, resources, inspiration, and feedback.
